The Exotac fireROD XL is the large-format version of the fireROD series — a bigger ferrocerium rod, more internal storage, and an added strip of repair tape that doubles as emergency tinder. Built for buyers who want more sparks per stroke and more storage capacity than the standard fireROD, without changing the core sheath-carry design.
Like the standard fireROD, the rod is replaceable so you never discard the tool. The hollow body stores tinder tabs, water purification tablets, or other small survival items. The included repair tape wraps the body and burns reliably as a tinder source when natural materials are wet or unavailable.
