Experience the ultimate balance of power, efficiency, and quiet operation with the ProBreeze Vent System—a premium 14" (355 mm) roof fan engineered specifically for camper vans, RVs, and tiny homes. Designed for serious vanlifers and travelers, this fan combines advanced brushless motor technology with smart features to deliver comfort on every journey.

Key Features

Drop-In Replacement for Maxxair
ProBreeze is designed as a direct 14" × 14" (355 mm) replacement for Maxxair roof fans. Please note: when removing an old Maxxair unit, the original flange/mounting rim may have become slightly distorted due to long-term environmental exposure. In some cases, the ProBreeze may require gentle adjustment or “wiggling” to fit snugly into the existing cutout.

High-Efficiency Brushless DC Motor
Provides powerful airflow while drawing minimal current—ideal for off-grid solar and battery setups. Long-lasting and maintenance-free compared to brushed motors.
Two-Way Airflow (Intake & Exhaust)
Choose between drawing in fresh outside air or expelling hot, stale air with 10 fan speed levels for complete control of cabin comfort.
Smart Auto Temperature Mode
Set your preferred cabin temperature and let the system automatically regulate fan operation.
Quiet Yet Powerful Performance
- Air Out: ≤29 dB (at 4 speed) / ≤47 dB (at 10 speed)
- Air In: ≤32 dB (at 4 speed) / ≤53 dB (at 10 speed)
Enjoy strong ventilation without disturbing your peace.
Massive Ventilation Capacity
Delivers ~3000 m³/h airflow—enough to refresh your van in seconds.
Integrated LED Lighting
Dual 2W LED lights provide soft, efficient illumination inside your van.
All-In-One Design
Comes with a pleated blackout blind and removable insect mesh screen built in—no extra parts needed.
Easy Control Options
Touchscreen operation plus wireless remote control for convenience.
Durable, Low-Profile Build

Frequently Asked Questions

General

Is this fan only designed for vans?
No. The ProBreeze Vent System Fan can be installed in camper vans, RV trailers, truck campers, expedition vehicles, and other mobile living spaces, as long as the wall or roof thickness falls within the compatible range.

What wall or roof thickness does the fan support?
The fan is designed to work with wall or roof thicknesses between 27 mm and 80 mm (approximately 1.1" – 3.15").

Can it be installed on RV trailers with thicker roofs?
Yes, many RV trailers have thicker roofs. As long as the roof thickness is within the 27–80 mm range, the fan will install correctly.

Can the fan be installed on walls instead of roofs?
Yes. The fan can be installed on side walls or vertical surfaces as long as proper weather sealing and structural support are provided.

Installation

Is this a DIY installation?
Yes. The fan is designed for DIY installation using standard tools. However, if you are not comfortable cutting into your roof or wall, professional installation is recommended.

What tools are required for installation?

Typical tools include:

Jigsaw or air jigsaw
Drill and drill bits
Sealant (butyl tape or polyurethane sealant)
Screwdriver
Measuring tools

What size cutout is required?
The fan requires a rectangular cutout matching the fan frame dimensions specified in the installation guide.

Do I need additional framing?
For thin sheet metal roofs (such as vans), an interior reinforcement frame is recommended to distribute load and ensure a secure installation.

Can this fan be installed with insulation or sandwich panels?
Yes. It works well with camper wall sandwich panels, composite panels, and insulated builds, as long as the final thickness stays within the supported range.

Electrical

What voltage does the fan operate on?
The fan operates on 12V DC, making it compatible with most camper van and RV electrical systems.

Can the fan run from a lithium battery system?
Yes. It works with AGM, lithium, or any 12V house battery system commonly used in camper builds.

How much power does the fan consume?
Brushless fans are designed for low power consumption and high efficiency, allowing them to run for long periods without significantly draining your battery.

Can I connect it to a solar system?
Yes. If your solar system charges a 12V battery bank, the fan can run normally from that system.

Performance

Is the fan reversible (intake and exhaust)?
Yes. The fan can typically be configured to pull air in or exhaust air out, helping regulate airflow inside the vehicle.

How noisy is the fan?
The brushless motor design provides quiet operation, making it suitable for sleeping and nighttime use.

Can the fan run overnight?
Yes. The fan is designed for continuous operation, which makes it ideal for ventilation while sleeping.

Weather & Durability

Is the fan waterproof?
The exterior housing is designed for roof exposure, but proper sealing during installation is critical to prevent leaks.

Can the fan run in rain?
Most roof vent fans can operate during light rain depending on the vent design. However, extreme weather conditions may require closing the vent.

What materials is the fan made from?
The fan housing is typically constructed from durable UV-resistant plastics and corrosion-resistant components suitable for outdoor environments.

Maintenance

How often should the fan be cleaned?
It is recommended to clean the fan every few months depending on dust levels and usage.

How do I clean the fan?

Turn the fan off and disconnect power.
Remove dust from vents and blades using a soft brush or cloth.
Avoid letting water enter the motor housing.

Can the fan blades be removed for cleaning?
Yes. The blades can be removed for cleaning depending on the model design.

Safety

Is the fan safe to use while sleeping?
Yes. The fan is designed for continuous ventilation, including nighttime use.

Can children operate the fan?
Children should only use the fan under supervision, and safety guards should always remain installed.

Can the fan be used in high humidity environments?
Yes, but it should not be exposed to direct water intrusion or submerged in water.

Troubleshooting

The fan does not turn on. What should I check?

Check the following:

Power supply connection
Fuse in the circuit
Wiring polarity
Battery voltage

The fan runs slowly. What could be the cause?

Possible reasons include:

Low battery voltage
Dirty fan blades
Obstructed airflow

The fan makes unusual noise.

Check for:

Debris in the fan housing
Loose mounting screws
Damaged blades
